Raphaël Bouyer was born in Montauban , France, in 1991. At the age of 16 he started studying the techniques of painting with Jeremy Annett, in Toulouse and a bit later, drawing at Catherine Escudié’s. After passing his plastic arts Baccalauréat, he decided to take up art courses in university. Disappointed by what he calls a university « ghettoization » of painting in contemporary arts , Raphaël Bouyer stopped his studies and decided in 2012 to go his own way.
